Priceline Hotel: Need strategy for 3*+ Berkeley/Emeryville

For Sept 15. Needs to be a 3* or greater in Berkeley/Emeryville area.

Started my bid for a 4* at $90. Slowly increased to $110 by adding (one bid at a time) 3+* and 3*, and also added the following areas: Richmond, Anitoch, Martinez, & Hayward. No luck! Got rejected each time. And it seems there aren't any more areas I could add without jeopardizing my chances of getting in Berkeley/Emeryville.

Did I start too low? Advice on how to proceed from here?

Unfortunately, if bids aren't being accepted, then a higher bid is required - and unfortunately these dates do look rather expensive in this area. What would be your desired max bid?

Sorry, didn't have my email alert on (now I do). Max bid is probably $150.

If I wait a few more days though, and start over again, should I start from my original offer price or should I start from the last amount that was rejected?

At this point, it's not that far from your stay, so I'd head up slowly - by $3's - from your last rejected bid.
