Hello,

I did a Hotwire search for a hotel near the Honolulu Airpirt. This hotel is listed as "Honolulu Intl Airport area hotel" and rated 2-star. It offers Airport Shuttle, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Laundry Facilities (self-service), and free internet access in all rooms.

Check-in: 12/01/2012 Check out: 12/02/2012 (just 1 night)

Cost: $81 per night

I have a hunch as to which hotel this is but wanted other opinions as well. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to Betterbidding.

If you scroll over "see all" next to the listing, do you see any additional amenities beyond the ones listed above? If so, please provide the full amenity set and we would be happy to take a look and try to ID.

Hello, yes and all the amenities are as follows:

Airport Shuttle (an additional charge may apply), Pool(s), Restaurant(s) (at least one), Laundry Facilities (self-service), High-Speed Internet Access, Free Parking and lastly Free Internet (in all rooms).

Again, this is a 2-star property located relatively close to the airport. Please let me know if anyone has any clues. Thank you in advance!

I'd be quite concerned about a property that gets a 40% approval rating from HOTWIRE customers and a 2/5 tripadvisor rating. My guess is that this may be a new amenity set for the Pacific Marina Inn.

Thanks for your input. My guess would have been the Ohana Honolulu Airport Hotel.. the amenities fit either hotel I believe. I would prefer the Airport Hotel being only 1/2 mile away and offers free airport shuttle.

The Ohana gets a 3.5/5 tripadvisor rating - I'm seeing a 2/5 tripadvisor rating on the detail page of the listing. I'm just concerned that the result is not going to be particularly good, as a 2/5 on tripadvisor is a particularly negative overall score.

Thank you again for the input on this. Yes, I would much rather prefer staying at the Ohana Hotel over the Pacific Marina Inn.. I have indeed read that the Marina can be quite noisy at night and even though I would only be spending one single night in Honolulu, I would at least like to get a peaceful night's sleep before my long flight to Manila the next day. I will definitely keep the ratings in mind if I choose HOTWIRE or PRICELINE. I appreciate your time with this!

Will you have any time to see/enjoy Oahu as the airport zone is not really where you want to be in order to experience any of the island.

Let us know whatever you decide to do for this stay or if we can be of further help.

Actually I have been to the Waikiki/Honolulu area a half dozen times in the past. I will merely be making an overnight stop in HNL for my upcoming trip in Dec. before venturing off to Manila the next morning. I haven't booked my flight yet, but I will be departing from FWA in Indiana. The cheapest I could find thus far is $97+/- but I'm keeping my eyes open for something cheaper.

Most of the hotels in this airport zone tend to have poor reviews. If you don't need much, and price is the most important factor, why not try bidding on PRICELINE?

Are you ready to purchase now or waiting to confirm your airline tickets first?

I haven't booked my airfare as of yet, so I will do that first. Yes, I will probably end up going with Priceline afterall, hoping for the Ohana hotel, as they offer free shuttle service and it's a mere 5 minute ride I believe.

In an earlier post, I stated the cheapest airfare I could find thus far to HNL was $97+/-.. that was a mistake, I meant to say $975.
