Duane Haas Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 My wife and I are wanting to stay around 9/28-10/4 for 3 or 4 nights. Are weekdays much cheaper than weekends? What am I looking at price wise for a 4* in M Park or NMA areas? Thanks for the help!
AaronJB Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 There are no standard variations in terms of weekdays/weekends - rates can vary significantly from day-to-day/week-to-week/etc.This is definitely an expensive period, although the second half of it is somewhat better. What would be your desired budget per night for this stay?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Duane Haas Posted August 27, 2012 Author Report Posted August 27, 2012 I was hoping to stay under $500-$600 for the hotel portion of the vacation. I would have to adjust days stayed to stay in that range.
thereuare Posted August 28, 2012 Report Posted August 28, 2012 If you're looking for the best bang for your buck, for various dates within your range above HOTWIRE has a 3.5* hotel in the Mag Mile-River North zone with Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business amenities and priced at $86/nite. My best guess for this property is the Doubletree MagMile, but even if not, this property has a very good 4.0/5.0 TA rating and 4.5/5.0 ratings across the board for all the criteria HOTWIRE asks previous guests to rate, so i wouldn't be too concerned about quality for this one. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide to do for this stay or if we can be of further help. AaronJB Posted August 28, 2012 Report Posted August 28, 2012 I'm seeing the same 3.5* for 9/30-10/4 for $86 per night. As I noted to another user yesterday who was looking for 10/2 and saw the same listing for a similar price, I'd recommend taking the deal - this is traditionally not a cheap time of year in Chicago, and the next cheapest listing on HOTWIRE downtown is $135.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Duane Haas Posted August 30, 2012 Author Report Posted August 30, 2012 Thank you for all of the tireless work you do. Due to the high prices my wife and I have decided to go a different route. We will be going to San Diego (airfare is $120 more p/p but good hotels are $75 less p/n).
AaronJB Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 Good deal, and glad you were able to have the flexibility to change up destination.
