Priceline Hotel: Help with Chicago--Sept 29-30

Been trying to book 2 roooms in downtown Chicago area (Millennium Park, Loop & Grant Park Area OR North Michigan Ave - River North Area) for September 29-30. Started around $100 for a 4 star hotel and have worked my way up over many bids. Now at $167 per room per night for a 3.5 star, and still can't get it. Anyone have any luck with these dates and location? Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, this is a tough period in the city. What would be your desired budget per night for this stay? Additionally, are you checking out 9/30 or 10/1?
