jenviolet Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 Hi! My husband and I are traveling to NYC 9/8-9/12 and are looking for a nice (4*) hotel. After we booked our flights we realized it was Fashion Week so we know hotels will be more expensive than usual. I've tried bids of $200 up to $260 with the following areas marked: SoHo (preferred), LES, Chelsea, Financial District, UWS, Central Park South, Empire State, Midtown East/West, Madison Square Garden and Times Square. I'm nervous to go up much higher for fear that we will get a not-so-nice hotel for as much money as booking something separately. It's important that we are within a few blocks of the subway. I'm willing to go up to a total price of $1300 (~$275/night) to get a good deal on a NICE hotel. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
AaronJB Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding. Unfortunately, these dates are considerably expensive. While booking directly would be an option, there is still unfortunately a spread between your last bid and the regular rate at most 4*'s for these dates, which is around $400-500, although there are a few in the mid-to-upper 300's on Expedia. What would be your desired max bid for these dates? I think you are likely fairly close to a win ($270-285, likely)Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
