We will use this thread for your Las Vegas stay, please continue your Priceline San Francisco thread for that leg of your trip.

For Las Vegas, you need to let us know a bit more about what you're looking for from this stay, as "on the strip and between 2.5 stars and 4 stars" is too general... what is your expected budget? Are you willing to pay more for a higher rated hotel OR is the goal the least expensive hotel at the minimum star rating you select? What type of hotels (brand-wise) do you typically stay in?

Using the PRICELINE box up above and to the right, if you fill in "Las Vegas, NV" and your dates, you will link to the PRICELINE web site.

When there, take a good look at the various zones on the map. You can zoom in on the large map (or click on detail map) to see better. The two zones - Las Vegas Strip North and Las Vegas Strip Vicinity South -are the ones actually on Las Vegas Boulevard. I believe these are the two zones you would consider a "good location".

There is a zone listed between the two with a very similar name - Las Vegas Strip Vicinity North - which is not on the boulevard. You probably don't want this one.

Based on numbers from HOTWIRE, I'm guessing you could meet your goal of "under $90" with 3* bidding.

You've got quite a bit of time yet.

So perhaps you could either confirm that you'd like to bid PRICELINE 3* for the two zones I mentioned, or specify any differences from this suggestion?

Priceline rooms are always for two people. Bedding can be 2 twins, a double, a queen, or a king, but they will accommodate two people.

Looking for 2.5-3.5stars...

Are you willing to pay more for a 3.5* vs. a 2.5* OR is your goal the least expensive 2.5* or better for this trip? In other words, did you first want to bid for a 3.5* property in the Strip North or Strip South zones up to $90, then if rejected try for a 3* up to $90, then if rejected a 2.5* up to $90... OR are you looking for the least expensive 2.5* property?

NOTE that once you start bidding 3* and below some 'known' hotels in the Strip North zone include the Riviera and Stratosphere, which although in the Strip North zone are not what most typically think of when they think "the strip"... did you want to restrict your bidding to only the Strip South zone?

Let us know the above and we'll advise accordingly.

I don't think $90 or less will be enough for a 3.5* or better hotel in the Strip North or Strip South zone, but if you want to give it a try:

At the 3.5* level in Las Vegas you have THREE re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Select 3.5* Strip South...

Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $80, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE

Select 3.5* Strip North...

Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $80, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE

Select 3.5* Strip South and Strip North...

Bid $83, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $88, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $90

Any questions feel free to ask.
