Hotwire Hotel: 5* Vienna hotel - HELP ID please 18-20 March 2013

Using your HOTWIRE links, I have found a 5* Innere Stadt area hotel with the following amenities:

Boutique Hotel

Fitness Center

Restaurant(s)

Business Center

Laundry Facilities (self-service)

High-Speed Internet Access

Spa Services

Accessible for the blind

Accessible for the deaf

Accessible path of travel

Accessible bathroom

Handicapped parking

Price per night is $136/nt with a total of $322.56 for the 2 nights.

Narrowing down 5* with the amenities on the retail side it gave me the Hilton Vienna Plaza hotel which is $211.46 per night with no additional taxes or fees. However I note that the zone this is said to be on the HOTWIRE Hotel list is East-Landstrasse-Wieden - I wonder if it could have changed zones?

Any ideas which hotel this might be?

Apologies for not responding sooner. Looking at the HOTWIRE map vs google map for the Hilton, it does appear to fall now within Innere Stadt. However, it was previously not reported with laundry. My guess is that this may be a new amenity set for the Hilton, although there is the chance it could be a hotel not yet reported to the board. The listing does get fine reviews, with a 4/5 tripadvisor rating on the detail page for the listing.

I'm still working out whether to go ahead and book the 5* hot deal (probably the Hilton Plaza as discussed above) or to see what else comes up - after all I see that people have got the Hilton Plaza for a cheaper rate via bidding on PRICELINE so I am keeping that in the back on my mind too.

In the meantime, again using your HOTWIRE link, I have found another property, this time a 4.5-star Hotel in Josefstadt - Alsergrund with the following amenities:

Smoke Free Rooms

Fitness Center

Restaurant(s)

Business Center

Laundry Facilities (self-service)

High-Speed Internet Access

Free Breakfast

Free Internet

The price is $278 per night.

I cannot find any 4.5* matches for free breakfast and free internet (without inserting the other fields) - Any ideas?

To close this thread, we have booked the Hotel Bristol for 482 euros which includes breakfast through www.olotels.com, which was much cheaper than through other hotel sites or even the hotel direct.

We have also submitted a Best Rate Guarantee claim through Starwood Preferred Guest which will give us 10% off the 482 euros if accepted (the other booking only has a 10euro cancellation fee).
