Priceline Hotel: Toronto

Hi

I need to be in Toronto 9/12 - 9/18 (6 nights). Unfortunately the film festival is on that week, so hotels are very expensive and/or full. I'd prefer a 3* (or 4* but don't expect to get it), and would like to spend less than $100CAD = $80US. Any bid / re-bid strategies would be welcomed.

Edit: I want to be in the downtown zone. And I've read the information about how Canadians can use the service.

Thanks for the welcome. Yes - I'd consider splitting and would have no problem moving hotels any day except the Thursday (9/15), though even that could be made to work if necessary.

I suspect you will have to increase your maximum bid amount for at some of the dates at the beginning of your stay, i suspect at least the last two nites shouldn't be much of an issue, so this is how i would begin:

At the 4* level you have nice re-bids availabe (if you're not sure of re-bidding please read PRICELINE RE-BIDDING EXPLAINED and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding)

Select 4* Downtown for 9/12-9/18...

Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $62, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $68, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $73, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $78, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $82.

If the above is rejected (likely) close your browser and re-access priceine however you did previously. Then retry again and again using the following dates:

9/13-9/18

9/14-9/18

9/15-9/18

9/16-9/18

I don't think you'll be successful until the 9/16-9/18 attempt, but we'll at least try to knock of the easy days first and then deal with the balance.
