clancy79 Posted August 24, 2012 Report Posted August 24, 2012 Trying to get a room in the North Michigan or Loop area for these dates. I have bid up to $135 per night with no luck. What else should I try? Are my expectations to great? I am open to bidding Friday and Saturday night separate and moving hotels for Sunday night if that helps.

clancy79 Posted August 26, 2012 Author Report Posted August 26, 2012 I have read my messages and now have bid up to 150.00 for a 4 star in both North Michigan and the Loop areas.
thereuare Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 HOTWIRE has a 4* hotel in the Loop for $168/nite which i'm guessing to be the Hotel Allegro, which is 3.5* rated on PRICELINE but gets good reviews, should this be of interest. If you're only looking for a 4* PRICELINE rated hotel, then based upon current rates i think you'll need to bid a bit higher, somewhere in the $160-$185 range. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. clancy79 Posted September 3, 2012 Author Report Posted September 3, 2012 Booked a 4 star for 160 per night called the Allerton. Looks like a neat property right on Michigan ave. I have some concerns though, most reviews on tripadvisor say that those who book through hotwire or priceline get a "Petite Suite" perfect for solo travlers (full bed, 10' x 12' room size). I emailed the hotel directly and they are going to try to accommodate a larger room at check-in.
AaronJB Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 Congrats on your success.Nice deal for a very busy period for this well-located property. Did you win this hotel on PRICELINE or HOTWIRE? If HOTWIRE, please provide the amenities that were showing with the listing at time of purchase (this information is available under the trip information in your HOTWIRE account.)Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
