I am very confused about where to stay and what budget should I have in general for New york city. I am vising it first time with my boyfriend. I am scared to choose any 3* hotels after reading reviews. Please guide where to stay and how much budget.

As you may or may not be aware, this is a very expensive time of year in NYC. Based upon current rates at the moment, in a centrally located area i think you're likely looking at low $200's for a 3.5* property... upper $200's for a 4* hotel.

Is this inline with your budget/expectations or do we need to consider other options?
