Priceline Hotel: 5* Melbourne (City Centre) Stamford Plaza Melbourne

Hi all,

Need some help please. Trying to book a hotel in Melb for the 21st to 23 of Sept. 5* room. CBD. I also used the airport as a free bidding zone.

I have bid on priceline up to 156USD a night.

Anyway I read they have two hotels Marriott and Stamford plaza. The cheapest rate I can find on Expedia is 236GBP for Stamford and and 300GBP for Marriott. This includes a 10% off coupon with Expedia expiring at the end of the week.

hotwire has a 5 star 233GBP for the whole stay Amenities are below. This is 5* but there is not listing in your board on 5* Melbourne hotels.

What are your thoughts on A) what could the HOTWIRE hotel be? and B) Should I just book the Stamford on Expedia or do you think there is another new PRICELINE 5* hotel which has not bee talked about here? Hence why my bidding has been unsuccessful

Stamford Plaza Melbourne CBD

It is for a wedding. My friend had a similar rate through the hotel (ie group rate) for the same price.
