scutie Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 I'm looking for a hotel near the LaGuardia Airport, preferably close to the Queens Museum/Queen's Zoo area in Flushing? Does anyone know what that area is called? Wanting to travel from September 23-Oct5. Dates are flexible! (If there are any days of the week that's cheaper to start staying at, please let me know!) Any tips or suggestions? I've looked around quite a bit but I think I can only find 3* ones? Is there a way to restrict PRICELINE / HOTWIRE to only specific areas (smaller areas)? Thanks in advance for any tips! Max budget around $150, but of course cheaper the better!
thereuare Posted August 23, 2012 Report Posted August 23, 2012 Welcome to BetterBidding! The closest PRICELINE zone boundary to the Queens Museum and the Queens Zoo is the Elmhurst-Corona zone... with the LGA zone being just north of this location. However, note that each zone encompasses more area than just these two locations and unfortunately there is no way to pinpoint a specific location within the zone. The highest star rating offered by PRICELINE within this region is 3 stars. How many nites within the September 23-Oct5 date range do you need? (it doesn't seem as if this is going to be a 12 nites stay)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. scutie Posted August 26, 2012 Author Report Posted August 26, 2012 Sorry! Just confused because when I click the PRICELINE link, I have to submit my bid automatically? What price range should I be bidding at? Would it be better if we waited closer to the date to book or book earlier the better?Thank you!
thereuare Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 Just confused because when I click the PRICELINE link, I have to submit my bid automatically????Still don't understand the issue/question... our link simply takes you to the PRICELINE website, and we ask that you use the links on the board each time you'd like to go to the PRICELINE or HOTWIRE website (instead of typing the URL into the browser)What price range should I be bidding at?When will your dates be firm and you'll know the actual dates of your trip... or are your plans flexible and any 6-7 nites within this date range are acceptable? When will you decide if you'll be staying 6 or 7 nites?Would it be better if we waited closer to the date to book or book earlier the better?See the related 'Bid Early or Close to Check-in' link in our PRICELINE FAQ.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Thanks.
