AaronJB Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)What would be your desired max bid for this night?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
leexy Posted August 23, 2012 Author Report Posted August 23, 2012 Thank you for reply. I think $200 should be successful. So if something is wrong?
Romelle Posted August 23, 2012 Report Posted August 23, 2012 I'd also think $200 work?? HOTWIRE has a North 5* for $124 - probably the Trump since kitchenette and no casino. A South 5* for $171. Have you checked the rates on the hotel web sites? There are links to some in the Las Vegas Checker under Tools, and more on the Support Page. Any missing from those sources can usually be found simply by www.{hotelname}.com or a quick search. If you do decide to go to 4* bidding, note that Summerlin is a Resort so isn't a free rebid zone at the 4* level. Romelle

I think $200 should be successful. Not that surprising as most 3 out of the 4 'known' 5* hotels are priced at $350+ for this nite. The 4th hotel, the Palazzo, is only available at $299 because it is on sale down from $389 (as per Hotels.com)You could get a 5* hotel in the Strip North Vicinity (likely the Trump) or the Strip South zone for less than you have already bid... how high are you willing to bid for the Strip North zone before considering one of these other zones (or before lowing your star rating if only the Strip North zone is acceptable)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. PolyNate Posted August 25, 2012 Report Posted August 25, 2012 Why did you bid so high? You can get the room for $220 on their site.
thereuare Posted August 25, 2012 Report Posted August 25, 2012 PolyNate, thanks for the rate drop info. That $220 rate was not available yesterday morning, which is a sign of just how volatile hotel rates in Vegas can be.Fortunately PRICELINE has a best rate guarantee and leexy can contact them to match the price and get a $25 credit.leexy, if you try this let us know how it goes.
