srharper Posted August 21, 2012 Report Posted August 21, 2012 Looking for a hotel in NYC from August 31 through September 3.Need 5 rooms2.5 star minimumAnywhere in Manhattan except UES and UWS. Will be attending US Open so using Manhattan for launching point and nightlife.Up to this point have tried up to $110 for the above criteria. Not willing to drop to 2 star. What is realistic amount expected for 5 rooms, 2.5 star?Does it hurt to be looking for 5 rooms?Any advice appreciated.
thereuare Posted August 21, 2012 Report Posted August 21, 2012 Welcome to BetterBidding! These are expensive dates in the city and at the moment i think you're going to be at least above $150. Fortunately with all the zones you're willing to accept there are lots of bidding opportunities and you can increase the bid amounts little by little, all within the same bidding cycle. If you'd like help with a bidding strategy let us know your maximum bid as well as which zones you're willing to accept (as opposed to the ones you won't accept) and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
