I need help to ID this hotel from Hotwire - Downtown Quebec City area hotel, 4 Star.

Have checked through the Hotel list but could not find the amenities that match.

The travel date is 27 Dec 2012 (For 1 night only), 4 pax to a room. I was quoted USD171.00 per room per night.

Thanks! I knew I was missing something. I have replied on the thread as directed, and did the searches based on the HOTWIRE link you've provided. The result i have is still the same:

4pax to 1 room for 27 Dec (1 night only) - Downtown Quebec City area hotel, 4 stars. USD171 per room per night, with tax is USD202.81.

Hi! I am still seeing the same hotel offered from Hotwire at USD171 - For check in 27 Dec 2012, Check out 28 Dec 2012, 4 pax to 1 room.

Looking at the hotels with names disclosed at hotwire (with my check in date and no. pax), only Loews Le Concorde hotel and Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac hotel is a 4 star hotel. Could it be one of those 2? However, the offered price for Loews is USD170, cheaper than the undisclosed 4 star hotel. And i can book direct with Loews for a lower price than offered in hotwire. And i doubt it would be Fairmont Le Chateau too.

I'm still not seeing this property when searching HOTWIRE for your dates, but to shed some light on your situation above...

The 'opaque' and 'retail' sides of HOTWIRE each use a different universe of hotels. There is quite a bit of overlap, but you shouldn't consider the retail listings to be the only possible hotels that can be received from the opaque side of their service. As i can't see the hotel you're referencing on my own search it's difficult for me to add any insight as to which one this may be, but i'll add the Hilton to the list of possible hotels that you referenced above.

I went on ahead and make the booking. The hotel is Loews Le Concorde at USD171 per night. However, as mentioned, I got offered USD170 for the same hotel at Hotwire when i choose to disclose all the hotel names. So, the Hotwire hot Rate wasn't so hot at all, definitely no savings for me, since I can get the cheaper or same rate if i book through hotwire with the hotel names, or book directly with Loews Le Concorde.

I have emailed Hotwire asking for an explanation to this as I read Hotwire automatically chose the cheapest option (room, w/o breakfast), so wondering where the savings is at.. <_<
