thereuare Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 For MTE i'm only seeing one 4* hotel offered in the MTE zone on my search, i'm seeing the first property which i'm guessing is the Grand Hyatt or the InterContinental Barclay.Best guess for the MSG-Chelsea property would be the Ramada Plaza New Yorker. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. hca Posted August 19, 2012 Author Report Posted August 19, 2012 Thanks! Went on priceline and accidentally bid $230 for a hotel in Brooklyn (meant to add an area that didn't have a 4* offer in order to bid again and clicked Brooklyn by accident without verifying my list) :(In the end $230 was accepted for the Brooklyn Bridge Marriott, which I guess isn't too bad since it's practically right after the bridge so not that far from Manhattan. Will post the "winning" bid in appropriate thread.
hca Posted August 19, 2012 Author Report Posted August 19, 2012 Not exactly what I was planning on, as I wanted to look for a property in Manhattan and accidentally added Brooklyn for a re-bid (meant to add an area that didn't offer 4* hotel). Ended up with this, which isn't so bad since it's not actually that far from Manhattan (2 subway stops into Brooklyn from Financial District). Learned that the time I'm going is during the marathon weekend, so hotels are crazy expensive. Here's to a good stay!
AaronJB Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 Congrats on your success. Sorry to hear about the unintentional zone pick, but glad to hear that the zone will still work out okay for your travel plans. Additionally, still a good deal with Expedia showing the lowest rate at $365 for these dates.Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
