Priceline Hotel: Valley Forge map

Hi, can anyone tell me what area the Scanticon/Radisson is in? Is it Valley Forge or Valley Forge/Norristown. I have been in the hotel and hated it and so have avoided bidding in that area. Unfortunately I am up to 100/night for 2 1/2 * and up in Plymouth Meeting for 8/20-22 and can't get anything. I will widden my search to include Valley Forge but only if I know I can avoid that hotel. I got the Marriott PHL West last Wed/Thurs and the Plymouth Meeting Courtyard for Friday but I haven't had any luck for this week. Thanks for any advise.

What is the address of the hotel you wish to avoid? I tried to look it up, but keep finding both a Radisson and a Scanticon. Different addresses.

There is one 3* Radisson in the List of Hotels (first post in this Priceline - Pennsylvania area) but I'm not sure whether it is the one you mean. It is listed in the Valley Forge zone, but there was no Valley Forge/Norristown zone listed.

Perhaps somebody else here will be more familiar with the area and the hotel exact names?

However, you don't have a lot of time left. I'd suggest you map the specific hotel either from their web site or something like Yahoo. Then zoom way in on the Priceline zone maps and see if you can pinpoint the hotel location. You will then know just which zone into which it falls.

PS - Have you checked Hotwire also? Often the experts here can give you an educated guess as to the hotel being offered, based on the amenities and other knowledge.

Greetings!

Can you kindly post your Courtyard and Marriott wins?

I post all of my wins because the tools on this board allow me to research and craft my bidding strategy. This would not be possible unless others had posted the details of PRICELINE and HOTWIRE stays. For me, it's good karma and using the links insures that this valuable resource will be around when I need it.

Do you need to be in the King of Prussia area? I ask because there is a zone to the west that might be as close as Plymouth Meeting is in relation to K of P.

Thanks!

catusa,

Are you actually talking about two different hotels or one? Your first post is in the singular, but your second suggests two hotels??

It is admittedly a little tricky, but if you are on a full screen computer and can get two screens up side-by-side, it is possible to determine if hotels are in or out of Priceline zones. I'd try to help if you supplied the hotel address(es). I tried with just hotel names and found I was wasting my time because I was never sure I was working with the right hotel(s).

Sorry to be so confusing and thanks for offering to help. The address of the one hotel I want to avoid is:

Valley Forge Casino Resort

1160 First Avenue

King of Prussia PA 19406

I would also like to avoid the connected Radisson:

Radisson Hotel Valley Forge

1160 First Avenue, King of Prussia PA 19406, USA

The problem with the Radisson is that usually Priceline clients are usually given substanard rooms including some without ANY windows. I have so far avoided booking in the KOP area entirely because of these hotels but since I cant get anything in Plymouth Meeting I need to look elsewhere.

My read of a Yahoo map is that both hotels are solidly within the Valley Forge zone (currently #5). You did notice they both have the same address?

Both hotels are 3* on the retail side of Priceline. You don't mention what star level you are bidding?

However, perhaps this would free you up to bid the adjacent Valley Forge North - Norristown zone?

FYI, I'm a member, not any kind of official, so you may want to personally confirm my mapping info.

Please add your previous win(s) to the board, each as a NEW TOPIC, then click each of these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links and reply to this thread, we'll continue the discussion for your upcoming stay above.

It would be appreciated if you began to share your wins with the board, and use the requested PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links, so that others can benefit from your wins, just as you have benefited from those who have posted before you.

Thanks.
