Deemo Posted August 18, 2012 Report Posted August 18, 2012 We are exploring our options for Cancun again and one comes up "we are still gathering reviews" on Hotwire. This was Le Meridian until July of last year.I have bolded the particular/unique amenities that match the Sandos website:4.5-star Hotel in North Hotel ZoneThis Hotel features the following amenities:Resort Beachfront Property Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s)Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services Accessible for the deaf Free Parking Free Breakfast Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower Now the main problem is that the hotel is an all inclusive but isn't listed as such on Hotwire. Is this possible?????

thereuare Posted August 20, 2012 Report Posted August 20, 2012 This amenity set does look like that of the Sandos Cancun Luxury Experience, but given the lack of an all-inclusive indication, i'm 1) not 100% certain of this ID and 2) is it possible that they offer 'room only' deals thru HOTWIRE (and other booking services??)Not sure how to find out the answer above, but one approach would be to see if this same property is offered for the first (or last) nite of your stay and then again for the balance. If so, purchase the solo nite in order to 'look behind the curtain' and confirm that this is indeed Sandos. You could then call HOTWIRE and further confirm if your reservation is 'all-inclusive' and then make a decision to book the balance of your stay. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and/or how it goes or if we can be of further help. Deemo Posted August 21, 2012 Author Report Posted August 21, 2012 Thanks for the input.Your concerns are our concerns as well. I called Sandos Cancun and they do not offer anything but all inclusive. They referred me to Hotwire for more info but there will be no guarentees from them I am sure.Your strategy for peeking behind the curtain was what we were considering as well to a tee.I have had good info from this site and would like to contribute here but we can'r risk it right now.Hotels.com with the August 10% discount is marginally more and we know what we re getting so we are going that route most likely.I will let you know if that changes and will keep checking back as more results come in from for adventurous bidders : )
