Hotwire Hotel: 3* Scranton Best Western Plus Scranton East Hotel and Convention Center

Have stayed here before and usually get it thru Priceline. Wasn't having any luck and saw Hotwire had it for $59, the indoor pool was the giveaway it was most likely the Best Western. Decent place, clean rooms, pretty good breakfast, not much around, but for a total of $70 a good overall value.

This location was OK for us, we were up for a show and coming in off of I-380, so it's OK. The only real problem is there is nothing around the hotel if you want a snack, we brought a few sodas and snack food, mini fridge and microwave in the room. Breakfast was good, eggs, bacon, potatoes, danish, lots of cereals, waffles, etc. I noticed in the elevator the certificate says "Holiday Inn Scranton". We drove past about 3 months ago and the Best Western sign was covered, but it is now uncovered and still Best Western Plus. Room was fresh and clean. Good place to stay if all you want to do is shower/sleep/eat and get back on the road and $70 beat the best price I could fine online for the room by over $40.
