First time bidding for a room. Could someone help me with a bid strategy?

I'm looking for a hotel room from Sept 4 to Sept 7.

Looking for in order or preference Miami Beach, South Beach Ocean Drive, South Beach Central, South Beach Collins Avenue Oceanfront.

4* or higher

Willing to pay max $130.

On the calendar of wins, I found one win for Sept 6 at a 4* Surfcomber hotel for $100.

Thank you very much in advance!

Are you willing to pay more for a hotel in your first choice of zone vs. second choice vs. third choice, etc, etc... OR is your goal the least expensive 4* or better in any of these zones?

Please confirm and we'll advise accordingly.

I took a wild stab at this last night and came out of it with the Mondrian for $115.

Did I play this right?:

$90 sobe central

$100 sobe central and rebid zone

$110 sobe central, rebid zone and Miami beach

$115 the above plus rebid zone.

Accepted.

I'm looking for something miami beach or north miami beach (equal preference), somewhere quiet and oceanfront for sept 1-4 now. What should my strategy be and how much should I expect to pay for 4*+ with my above requirements?

Do you know if you the Mondrian allows you to change rooms?

I want to book a 4* the week before you for 2 nights, but I absolutely need to have 2 beds or 1 bed + sofa.

I am a bit concerned booking miami beach on Priceline because I don't want to end up with only 1 bed, that would be bad.

Please start a new thread with the details of your stay (date/s of travel, desired budget, acceptable zones, amount of people in the party) and we would be happy to help.

PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy/1 bed - more than one bed can be requested with the hotel but no guarantees. HOTWIRE is a better bet given you can enter in the amount of people in the party and if over 2, you should get bedding for the entire party - that can be 2 beds or 1 + sofabed or 1 + rollaway. There is no way to know, however, if a hotel will allow two beds with a PRICELINE reservation. It can depend on the day or even who you talk to at the hotel.

Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
