ufjoe21 Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 that's a good price for a 3* (don't know why hotwire calls it a 3.5*, it's not IMO)to give you some perspective, people have gotten this hotel thru priceline and other 3* hotels in the Orlando Airport area for less than $50but this is nice to see Hotwire giving a fair deal for a change......the lowest available rate for that Hyatt from hyatt.com on that night is $159you saved about ~$100 per room after tax nice jobgood post too :)
ourmiraclechris Posted August 4, 2005 Author Report Posted August 4, 2005 Thanks. This was my first time and I was really nervous. I really wanted that hotel and since you can compare the amenities prior to booking at least I felt I had more of a "chance". I was always chickened out on priceline LOL. Now with having luck on hotwiore I will try priceline in the future when it doesn't really matter where I stay.
thereuare Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding!Thank you for sharing your results with the board. As we often say, it's not always about price (and price shouldn't always be assumed to be the underlying factor). In this instance you wanted this particular hotel and you 'did it right' (imo) by going with the higher probability outcome and using Hotwire when all the amenties matched up! You ultimately got what you wanted and still saved quite a bit of money!! :) Glad it worked out well for you.Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
ourmiraclechris Posted August 4, 2005 Author Report Posted August 4, 2005 Thanks for the welcome!! And Thereuare I couldn't now agree more. You "get me " LOL!! I so wanted that hotel so for me the $20 more I could have saved on priceline was outweighed by the probabilities. I am now addicted to hotwire LOL. I wish I had the guts to try it sooner!
