The 5* would likely be a match for the Vdara, while the 4.5* would be a possible match for TheHotel at Mandalay.

looking for the best deal/ value on a higher end property in the South Strip Area or North if necessary. The 5* was a much better deal a few days back when I wasn't ready to commit yet. 4.5* still looks like an OK deal though I was hoping to land what looks like the Vdara. Will keep an eye out. thanks...

you sure? i checked yesterday and today too...vdara is still 116. well i'm assuming its vdara

Ended up going with the 4.5* Strip South and got TheHotel at Mandalay Bay just for Sept 25 at $139. Not a steal but still ok. Had I booked sooner for both properties I would have gotten better rates. the 5* was up to $246 by the time I booked this.
