olli Posted August 13, 2012 Report Posted August 13, 2012 Hi all,I just found out that Hyatt now charges a $14 parking fee on top of the $25 resort fee. That is now a total of $39/day in extra charges (excluding taxes) !! I wasn't aware of this additional parking fee when I bidded. I think Hyatt just started charging this parking fee recently. I don't think there's anything I can do now....Is it worth calling Priceline and complaining about this? We'll be checking-in in early Sept.Anyway, I thought I'd post and let everyone else know of this new charge. It's something to think about when bidding for Maui Resorts in Kaanapali area.Hope this helps someone!
xikingix Posted August 13, 2012 Report Posted August 13, 2012 That's really strange that the parking fee is not included in the resort fee. Parking at the resort has always been terrible, I know the past couple of years they've had to offer free valet if their self-park lots were full (almost always the case). It's a shame now they're trying to make a quick buck.PRICELINE's T&C is pretty clear about not covering additional fees like parking, so you're out of luck there.
