mleonov Posted August 12, 2012 Report Posted August 12, 2012 Hi there, I am flying into San Diego on Aug 17th and plan to stay there until the 20th. I am looking for a good price on a 3.5 star or higher hotel. I was searching on priceline (as others already mentioned, the downtown area boundaries by priceline are huge, whereas hotwire are more refined). Can anybody suggest any technique how should i book to ensure that I am around the Gaslamp district and not pay over $130/night? Your input is appreciated.
mleonov Posted August 12, 2012 Author Report Posted August 12, 2012 I could not find any decent hotel for 3 consecutive nights, so i decided to split and be in different hotels every night (since we are going to be out most of the day, it doesnt really matter to us). I ended up getting Sheraton (Aug 17& 19) for 103.84 & 120.97 receptively. I book Best Western Bayside inn (for 133 + tax) for Aug 18. It was the cheapest alternative i could find. Hope this helps....
