I'm seeing a 2* hotel in this zone for $59/nite but it only has two amenities, are you still seeing the amenities above on a 2* hotel search for your dates? If so, are you searching HOTWIRE for more than one room or for something other than the default 2adults/0children?

First time I used this bidding process and got a 3*** for US $ 68.00. Hopefully the Town and country Resort is good enough. I keep receiving Hotwire e-mails and the price has lowered to 68 from 88 two weeks ago. Does it mean I should wait prices get lowered because the Hotels reduced their rate based on occupancy? I am now in need of a Boston Hotel for one day on Aug 25.

Hope you're happy with the hotel and deal you received fro this San Diego stay. Rates do not always go down the closer to your stay... it's entirely possible that one month out a hotel has more vacancies then they would like and offer a low PRICELINE / HOTWIRE rate... 2 weeks later they get more last minute reservations then they expected and no longer offer a deeply discounted PRICELINE or HOTWIRE rate.
