markb33 Posted August 9, 2012 Report Posted August 9, 2012 Hi, I'm new to this forum as well as Priceline bidding. I've been trying to bid on hotels in the 3.5-4 star range for NYC. My ideal neighborhoods would be: Midtown East, Midtown West, & Central Park South, but would be open to opening up the search a bit to include the Financial District (Wall Street) if it would provide a solid discount. My questions are.. 1) Is now a good time to be bidding? Am I too early/late? 2) what are the bidding zones I should be looking for. Ideally I'd be looking to max out at $225/night (preferably on 4 star) or $200/night on 3.5 star. Is this a reasonable price range for these? And what do you think the magic number is for each of these neighborhoods in terms of bidding? Thank you in advance!
