Hotwire Hotel: 4* Chicago (Northbrook - Glenview - Mt Prospect) The Westin Chicago North Shore

Hi,

My friend and I are going to drive to Chicago and stay on 8/11 and 8/12 (two nights). We are looking for 3* (or above) hotel close to (maybe) O'Hare airport. We hope we can get valuable one and with the budget around $80 per night and free parking. Could anyone give me some suggestions? and which hotel it could be? Thank you.

A number of properties near ORD do charge for parking, but you can look for hotels with "free parking" amenity on HOTWIRE. However, I would rather recommend nearby suburbs, where parking is free across the board. Where are you driving in from? Do you need to be right near ORD?

North Suburbs (Northbrook-Glenview zone on HOTWIRE)

Pros: Free parking, some sights (including the Chicago Botanic Garden and the famed Ravinia Music Festival), relatively easy access (short drive, some hotels may offer shuttle) to Metra trains. Lots of restaurants/shopping, could drive to beach. =

Cons: Furthest area away if you are coming from the South.

Seeing (examples) possible Westin North Shore/Renaissance North Shore for $73, Marriott Suites Deerfield for $67.

NW Suburbs (Schaumburg, Arlington Heights)

Pros: Free parking, a lot of shopping/restaurants. Easier drive than North burbs if you are coming in from STL.

Cons: Moderate drive to a Metra station. Further from downtown.

Seeing (examples) possible Hyatt Schaumburg for $81, possible Sheraton Suites Elk Grove Village for $84, a hotel that has not been ID'd but may be the Holiday Inn Express Arlington Heights for $59.

Prices you see may vary; ORD is more expensive for these dates than either of the above zones. Let us know if any of the examples are of interest and we would be happy to point out which listing *may* be which hotel.
