dar6x2 Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 Seems like a good deal but have seen some horror stories posted of rooms with only twin beds and staff being rude to Hotwire customers. We'll see how it goes.Amenities:Indoor pool(s) Fitness Center Pool(s)Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet AccessSpa Services In-room accessibility Wheelchair accessible

B Singh Posted August 8, 2012 Report Posted August 8, 2012 No its not. This is property that treats hotwire customers real bad.I see my review was moved to my post. Will follow mods advice. But am really ticked off.I think as Mods you have a responsibility to make users aware of hotels that perform under par. And now that I know.. I see so many other reviews on Tripadvisor that warn of the same thing. Wish I had seen it earliar.
thereuare Posted August 9, 2012 Report Posted August 9, 2012 I think as Mods you have a responsibility to make users aware of hotels that perform under par.We have a HOTEL REVIEW section on the board for this purpose and that is where disappointments, and accolades, should be reported.Although you had a bad experience here, the next user may not, which is why it's better to have all reviews in one place and let users decide for themselves if it's a property that will suit their own needs for a particular trip. dar6x2 Posted August 10, 2012 Author Report Posted August 10, 2012 I just called Sutton place to check and they confirmed that I was indeed booked in a room with 2 twin beds. The offered to upgrade me to a King for $15 or a deluxe king for $35(same room but upper 4 floors) and were quite civil as they explained that hotwire selects the lowest priced room automatically. Yes it is kind of lame but I blame hotwire more than the hotel for not making it clear when you book. Anyways, 15 isn't going to break the bank so I'm not too worried about it, just glad I called and checked.
B Singh Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 I'm glad its 15 for you. That would have been no issue. But $50 upgrade was tough for me to digest. Good luck friend.
tmcavany Posted October 3, 2012 Report Posted October 3, 2012 I'm glad its 15 for you. That would have been no issue. But $50 upgrade was tough for me to digest. Good luck friend.I called to ask about my reservation for the 15th-17th of October (114 per night) and the lady on the phone was very nice. She told me that she booked me for the king room at no extra charge and put a request that we had a playpen available for us when we arrived as well. She also confirmed an early check in for us at no extra charge....I thought that was pretty generous? Maybe it depends on who you get...
thereuare Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 I called to ask about my reservation for the 15th-17th of October (114 per night)...It would be appreciated if you shared your win with the board as a NEW TOPIC so that others will be aware of your purchase when searching the topic titles on the board and in the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Thanks.
