LovePeas
Hello-I have been trying several of the strategies posted to snag a deal for a two night stay 8/18 - 8/20 in downtown Chicago, but I have had no luck. Are there days or times of the day that are better to bid? Definitely want a 4*, thanks! Link to comment
AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. There is not a particular time period or day of the week that's better. The FAQ discusses purchase timing. What have you bid up to so far for this stay, and what would be your desired budget per night?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. LovePeas
I tried bidding with the amounts suggested here. Started out at $70 then up as I added other areas. When I did both loop and river north area i started at $90 and went up with no luck. Link to comment
AaronJB
I'm guessing a 4* bid will likely take $115-135 for these dates in the NMA-River North area, with a 4* in the Millennium Park-Loop-Grant Park area possibly taking around $95-105. I wouldn't go too high in the Loop area - Expedia has the 4* Hilton in the Loop for $135.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE or Expedia links to start your purchases and searches. AaronJB
Please keep all posts regarding this stay within this thread - thanks. The 4.5* is a possible match for the Intercontinental. The 4* would be a possible match for the Sax, Felix or Palomar (although one of the first two would be more likely). The 4* Loop would be a likely match for the Allegro.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
LovePeas
Thanks for your help! I got the 4* in the MM River North and it turned out to be the Hotel Sax. Link to comment
