Hi,

Using your HOTWIRE links, I have found a 4 1.2* hotel in Old Town Prague which curiously is listed in its amenities as having a casino (which made me think someone may know which hotel it is as it certainly isn't a stock-standard amenity).

Details are: 15-18 March 2013 stay.

Claimed to be $225 on other sites*

$84.00 per room, per night

Our 4.5-star hotels include:

Sofitel Hotels

The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts

Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts

Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts

and other brand-name and independent hotels

Amenities listed are:

Casino

Airport Shuttle

Fitness Center

Restaurant(s)

Business Center

Laundry Facilities (self-service)

High-Speed Internet Access

Free Breakfast

Free Internet

Does anyone have any idea?

TOP Hotel Ambassador - Zlata Husa would be my best guess for this one.

Thanks - so that would be a new addition to the Hotwire Hotel list if it were correct?

Also, this may have been answered elsewhere, so please excuse me if it has, when Hotwire indictates that other sites are offering a hotel for a particular price, is it just comparing against those which have the tick boxes on them to the top right of the hotels list?

I always return to your website to use your links for Priceline or Hotwire whenever searching or making bookings. Thanks

2 other HOTWIRE hot Deal hotels to help me identify please (I used your links as always for my research):

FIRST HOTEL

5*

Old Town

US$86 per night (stated as $160 on other sites)

Amenities:

Boutique Hotel

Indoor pool(s)

Airport Shuttle

Fitness Center

Pool(s)

Restaurant(s)

Business Center

Laundry Facilities (self-service)

High-Speed Internet Access

Golf Nearby

Tennis Nearby

Spa Services

Accessible path of travel

In-room accessibility

Wheelchair accessible

Accessible bathroom

I have googled for 5* boutique hotels in Prague with golf and tennis and the only result that matches for me is Kempinski Hybernska Prague. Although google did bring up the beautiful Alchymist Grand Hotel and Spa http://www.alchymisthotel.com/ but I could not find out from its website whether it has golf and tennis. Any ideas?

SECOND HOTEL

4*

Old Town

$86 ($160 other sites)

Amenities:

Smoke Free Rooms, Free Breakfast (no others listed even when you click for the full list).

BTW, I note that on your Hotwire Hotel List the Hilton is listed as a 4* however on the retail part of the Hotwire site both the Hilton Prague Old Town Hotel and the Hilton Prague Atrium are 5* - perhaps Hotwire has upgraded them (Priceline also has them as 5*).

Do we know whether Hotwire covers both Hiltons in the Old Town zone?

PRICELINE 5* in Prague

Also, following on from that and still related to the 2 Hiltons, I have a question about Priceline for Prague but wasn't sure if you want me to keep the whole stay together or post it there - if you prefer to put it there, please transfer it there.

I note that the most recent Priceline 5* wins for Prague have been for the Hilton all being in the $71 to $77 per night range. Do we know which of the 2 Hiltons these were for?

Also, just looked again on HOTWIRE using your links and have seen another 4.5* property for Prague for one of the dates in the date range (15-16 March 2013).

The price is USD$81 per night.

However, this is in the Prague Castle - Mala Strana - Smichov area

Amenities:

Boutique Hotel

Restaurant(s)

Business Center

High-Speed Internet Access

Free Internet

Accessible path of travel

In-room accessibility

Accessible bathroom

Handicapped parking

Any ideas?

5* Old Town

I'm not currently seeing this property when searching HOTWIRE for your dates

4* Old Town

This property has a 55% recommendation from previous HOTWIRE guests and a 3.0/5.0 rating for location... i'm assuming this isn't the type of property that you're considering for this stay?

4.5* Prague Castle - Mala Strana - Smichov area

Best guess would be the Mamaison Riverside

Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board.

Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help.

It must not be available now. When I posted originally it was - nonetheless, any idea which hotel it could have been with tennis and golf nearby?

Thanks for pointing that out - you're correct I wouldn't be interested in this with those ratings.

Also, in my earlier post I had a query about which of the Hiltons people had been winning:

The star ratings in the 'retail' section of PRICELINE can differ from those show on the opaque side of their service. There has only been one report thru HOTWIRE of a Hilton Hotel in Prauge, and it was in this Hotwire Hotel thread from 2007, which appears to have been the Hilton Prague based upon the message in that thread.

Most are properly labeled 'Hilton Prague' or 'Hilton Prague Old Town'.
