carol_2468 Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 Hello, I was wondering if you have any advice on booking a 4* or 5* hotel in either Soho or Greenwich Village for 5 nights (Check in: 09 Sept; Check Out: 12 Sept)I have not used Hotwire before but did use Priceline once many years ago.We are looking for 1 double room, 2 adults. Thanks!
AaronJB Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)In terms of PRICELINE or HOTWIRE, one has to be willing to stay anywhere within the zone or zones selected. Which zones would be acceptable, and what would be your desired budget per night?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

carol_2468 Posted August 6, 2012 Author Report Posted August 6, 2012 Hello,I would like to stay in Soho/Tribeca area only, 4* hotel minimum. So I did already try Priceline for this & bid up to $200 per night with no luck. This is before I posted on here so I will use this link for any future postings. The dates are 07 Sept - 11 Sept inclusive, 5 nights. However after doing a little bit of online research, I have seen that it is unlikely to get a hotel in NYC for 5 consecutive nights, would you agree with this? Thanks for your help.
thereuare Posted August 6, 2012 Report Posted August 6, 2012 While it's certainly easier to get one nite than five, there are plenty of 5+ nite wins on the board. Even if you SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID and tried Sept 7-10 (which i think would be your greatest chance of success) i still don't think you would likely win a bid as the issue go deeper than just a 5 nite stay. Other issues are that your budget isn't that high for this time of year in this zone and that you're only bidding one zone, which doesn't give that many hotels a chance to accept your bid.Is this the only acceptable zone because this is the only zone where you like all of the known 4* hotels OR is this the only zone you feel is convenient for your needs? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
