Hey guys, I'm new to the board. I've Been reading thoroughly for the pasy few days, learned all sorts of neat stuff! So me and two of my buddies are planning our first ever trip to vegas. Two of us just graduated from college and the third will be turning 21 on the trip. We are somewhat limited in terms of money, but we figured if we're going to do it, might as well do it BIG! We have been looking on hotwire, and found a 4 1/2 star hotel on the south end of the strip for $175 a night. I know some of you guys are really good at identifying which hotel it will be. After looking at all the ammentities I'm thinking it's going to be THE HOTEL @ Mandalay Bay. I'm crossing my fingers that this is the case, bc from what I have seen online this hotel looks very nice. We are planning on checking in 10/25/12 through 10/28/12 (3 nights with 3 people) Here is a list of the ammenties:

4.5-star Hotel in The Strip - South

Resort

Casino

Pool(s)

Restaurant(s)

Business Center

High-Speed Internet Access

Golf Nearby

Tennis Nearby

Spa Services

Free Parking

Accessible path of travel

In-room accessibility

Accessible bathroom

Handicapped parking

Roll-in shower

It also says the resort fee is approx $25 a night. Any help you guys can give us would be greatly appreciated.

If you have any other recomendations or adivce for us it would be helpful!

Does the property above also have a Fitness amenity listed? If so, then yes my best guess for this one would be the THEHotel at Mandalay Bay.

You may also want to consider the 5* Strip South Suite property for $170/nite which i suspect is the Vdara.. for a first trip to Vegas i would consider this over THEHotel due to location. DO NOTE that the Vdara does not have a casino, but the Aria is 5 minutes away and you can gamble there if you'd like. If you intend to 'stay put' then THEHotel would be a good choice (great pool area and lots of bars/restaurants on site), but if yo intend to explore the Strip i would consider a more central location such as the Vdara.
