Clifford08
Wanted to see if you thought it was possible to improve the reservation I made with the Imperial Palace (website). It averaged out to $26.42/day. Here is the breakdown for the daily rates (4 days).Rates Per Room*08/13/2012------$21.59 USD 08/14/2012------$21.59 USD 08/15/2012------$26.39 USD 08/16/2012------$24.79 USD All the above rates are without taxes/fees.Basically, I want to stay on the strip. I understand that the I. Palace is in a central location. Walking distance to the other major strip casino hotels. However, I’ve read it may not be nice. Is it possible to get something a little nicer via priceline/hotwire at my same rate or better? Link to comment
thereuare
With PRICELINE and HOTWIRE both charging a booking fee of ~$6/day, you won't be able to beat the rates above for something as centrally located. As well, you could land a strip property that charges a Resort fee which could be more than the price of the room above. If your rates if for the 'Classic' room i would look into the cost to upgrade to a 'Deluxe'.While the IP has a great location, one of the issues is that you need to walk thru the casino to get to your room, and the ventilation system is as old as the hotel, so you smell like smoke even if you don't spend any time in the casino. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... and your searches too! Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
Clifford08
Thanks. That's what I thought. I'll look into a Deluxe. For anyone trying to duplicate my deal. I just went to the IP website and they had a "summer sale". The discount code was automatically entered into the reservations page. It helped that I am staying in the middle of the week. wardnine
Cliff,Both promotional codes SUMMER20 and IIRT1 beat the rates that you have. Promotional code SUMMER20 (20% off minimum two night stay) gets you an average of just under $19/night for your dates. Check the Caesar's website... Link to comment
Clifford08
Maybe I'm not going to the right site, but I got $104 or so (pretax) for the Imperial when using the SUMMER20 code. the other one "could not be verified". My TTL is $94.36, also pretax. I went to caesars then magically got transfered to the totalrewards.com reservations site which gave me the Las vegas properties.Nevermind. the default was a "classic" room. Should have gotten the "deluxe" which is cheaper. Thanks! Link to comment
dahammer
There is construction going on at the Imperial Palace as it is getting a changeover to become The Linq. Link to comment
