Hotwire Hotel: 3.5* College Station - Bryan Four Points by Sheraton College Station

Totally disappointed with Hotwire and promise never to use again. I could have used hotels.com and paid less. The total for Hotwire is $450 and Hotels.com--which they promote was $436!! Also hotels.com ranks this hotel as 3* and NOT 3.5*! I called to complain and they said they would refund $5 but not $14 as they don't refund the tax difference--so much for the price guaranty. i think Hotwire is very misleading in many aspects and should be avoided at all costs. i will stay with Priceline who has a much better reputation and is a more honest company.

Sorry to hear you're disappointed wit the results.

Note that all 'Best Price Guarantees' that i'm aware of from major travel provides are for room rate only.. none of them include taxes and/or fees when determining the amount of refund due. Also, PRICELINE and HOTWIRE are two of the best providers as honoring their guarantee as the majority of hotel chains and online agencies look for any loophole possible to not have to honor their guarantee (i have had one hotel even show me their terms where "the best price guarantee does not apply to sale prices at another website")

It would also be appreiated if you used the requested PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your future bidding, searches and travel purchases.
