NYCSearcher Posted July 29, 2012 Report Posted July 29, 2012 Hi there! I am looking for a hotel 4* plus from 13-16 oct. Travelling alone, so need a safe area, close to metro, museums, shops, preferrably midtown west, central park west or times square. I have never used priceline, so i'd really appreciate any help you can give me. I've read some posts and saw direct tips on which bids to post and how...any tips on how much and how to start my bids and when? Many thanks!
AaronJB Posted July 29, 2012 Report Posted July 29, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Unfortunately, this is a very busy/expensive time of year in NYC. What would be your desired budget per night for this stay? Midtown zones for these dates will likely cost around $215-230 or higher for a 4*, although I'd start lower and work up to those levels.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
NYCSearcher Posted July 29, 2012 Author Report Posted July 29, 2012 $215 seems ok, if breakfast is included ;)
thereuare Posted July 30, 2012 Report Posted July 30, 2012 $215 seems ok, if breakfast is included ;)At the 4* level breakfast will most likely not be included... and based upon current prices it may also take more than $215....preferrably midtown west, central park west or times square. There is no zone names 'Central Park West'... did you mean Central Park South and/or Upper West Side? What about MTE and/or ESB... these are also frequently bid zones at the 4* level? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. NYCSearcher Posted July 30, 2012 Author Report Posted July 30, 2012 Central Park South, sorry ... ESB and MTE also work, if they're safe and easy to walk around.I am looking for a hotel like Yotel or similar and would be willing to pay up to 250 per night tops. I found that price online and was hoping i could get a better deal at priceline. Many thanks
