Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I was recently told about this site from a member of this site while on vacation. I had no idea you guys were around. Well, I am very happy to be here!!!

I recently booked via hotwire before I found out about this site and was disappointed with the hotel I got. I only saved $5 if I would have booked it on Expedia. I got a 3.5 Star in San Diego Mission Valley for dates 7/25 -7/28 for $169. It was the Sheraton Mission Valley. I was not happy especially only saving $5 a night and reading the bad reviews on TripAdvisor, I felt I got duped by hotwire. It made me lose faith in hotwire. I am hesitant in doing something like that again. However, I am going to LV 8/13-8/15 and have booked The Palazzo for $149 a night directly from their website but after going on hotwire and seeing 5* hotels going for $77-$90 a night I am VERY tempted to try it again.

I can cancel my existing reservation and use hotwire........ANY suggestion??? I much appreciate it!!! Thanks!

Welcome to BetterBidding!

We're glad you found us and what we're doing in our little corner of the internet ;)

It would be appreciated if you shared your previous purchase with the board. Although a stay in the past, it will still help others with future purchases as we research and make year-over-year and seasonal comparisons. Please post your win as a NEW TOPIC in the CALIFORINIA >> Hotwire section of the board. Please include the star rating, city, zone, hotel, room rate per nite, dates of your stay, and amenities shown before your purchase... you can still view all of this information by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page.

The Strip North property i see when searching HOTWIRE for your dates is most likely the Trump (if this is of interest we can confirm the amenities and discuss further)... the 5* Strip South property with:

Resort

Casino

Fitness

Pool

Restaurant

Business

Hi-Speed Internet

Golf

Spa

Blind Accessible

Deaf Accessible

Free Parking

Travel Accessible

Room Accessible

Bathroom Accessible

Handicapped Parking

Roll-in Shower

...best guess for this one is the Aria.

Thank you so much for the information on the LV hotels.

I DO NOT want to stay at The Trump. After reading other peoples threads, I suspected it would be The Trump and didn't want to chance it. I am going to be traveling with my two kids ages 7 and 8 and as I have come to learn, most hotels in LV charge and extra fee for them no matter how old the kids are. I suppose I could get away with it if I tell my kids to sit somewhere while I check in?

The Aria would be of interest to me but will have to do more research before I decide to commit and book. If I do decide, I will use the links on this site to book.

Thanks again!

If you indicate two children and two adults when booking, there should not be any extra person fees.

Please let us know if you have additional questions and what you decide.
