Priceline Hotel: 2.5* Killington (Okemo-Ascutney) Clarion Cavendish

I will be around the Rutland/Killington area the evening of 8/8, so I decided to give PL a whirl as the rates I found on Expedia.com were pretty high. I started in the Rutland/Killington zone at $45 for a 3* and was rejected. So I added the 2.5* level and was rejected again. I added Okemo-Ascutney and raised the bid to $50 and got the Clarion.

Looking back, I probably should have added Okemo before going down to 2.5* as that would have given me a free rebid in Rutland/Killington. Or maybe I should have left the bid at $45 after adding Okemo. This zone doesn't have much of a documented PL history, so I was winging it.

Nevertheless, this rate is a little more than half the lowest available rate ($89.10/night) at Clarion's site, so PL served its purpose. Based on the list of amenities, it seems like a nice place.

Maybe this will help anyone bidding in this zone in the future... if anyone ever does!
