StocktonJoe Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 Booked the Palazzo for $135 a night via Priceline for a Thu-Sun stay (Aug 2nd - Aug 5th). Started off with a $110 bid since I'm new at this and slowly worked my way up in increments of $5-10 and adding zones with no 5 star hotel.Great resource! I will definitely keep using Priceline and these boards moving forward!

adriennent Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 Hey!I was wondering how you knew which zones don't have a 5 star hotel? I would to try this strategy as well. Usually I bid, then wait 24 hours and slightly increase my bid. When I'm ready to buy I will use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links from this page.ThanksAdrienne
thereuare Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 adriennent,The re-bid zones (as they're referred to on the board) can, and do, change often as new hotels are added/removed and other hotels are upgraded or downgraded, so you need to know how to determine these on your own as they should be checked before starting each bidding cycle.See Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask any questions you have, or if you're confused by the information there start a NEW TOPIC for your next trip and we'll break it down further for you. Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
