Melissa
3*, London (Westminster) Novotel Waterloo, 9/11/05-9/12/05Your Offer Price: $75.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $75.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $20.88 Total Charges: $95.88 Bids:1st bid: Westminster 4* $70 (median price for this area showed as $110) --> counteroffered at $92, I didn't accept the counteroffer as I was looking for a better deal if I could get one.2nd bid: added Mayfair/Soho and 5* $78 --> rejected3rd bid: changed rating to 3* $75 --> accepted Novotel WaterlooIn retrospect, I think I should have dropped the 3rd bid price lower, but based on bid data, I didn't think there was much of a chance of me getting a 3* in this area. This might be a new hotel for the list too as I didn't see it listed here on betterbidding.com. Web rate for this hotel for same night shows "best" rate as $198.20.From information on TripAdvisor, it appears that this hotel may be a bit away from local amenities. I will do my best to write up some reviews of the hotels I stay at on this trip. :) Link to comment

jedikiah
It is on quite a useful bus route (number 3) though. See the local spider bus map for details. There is an ATM within 300 metres of this hotel - but it is in St Thomas Hospital! Link to comment
WillTravel
With the several different locations you are staying at, you could choose to focus on South Bank and Westminster attractions during this particular stay, and they'd all be within walking distance more or less. The Journey Planner at this site is very good: http://www.thetube.com Link to comment
Melissa
Jedikiah--thank you for the bus information--that will come in handy. WillTravel--good idea. I'm not sure what time I'm arriving that day (spending the weekend in Oxford), but hoping I have time for some sight seeing there. Thanks for the Journey Planner--I hadn't looked at that yet---I like the walk option with time it takes! :) Link to comment
