pinto07 Posted July 25, 2012 Author Report Posted July 25, 2012 Closed thread and used the HOTWIRE and PRICELINE links provided
AaronJB Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 Thank you for closing the thread - did you decide to cancel or go a different route to book?
pinto07 Posted July 25, 2012 Author Report Posted July 25, 2012 Cancelled the Vegas trip. Any idea what my Austin hotels are?
AaronJB Posted July 26, 2012 Report Posted July 26, 2012 My guess for the 4* is a possible new amenity set for the Sheraton, while the 3.5* would be a possible match for the Hilton Garden Inn or Radisson.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
pinto07 Posted July 26, 2012 Author Report Posted July 26, 2012 Through narrowing down the amenities I sort of hoped the 4* was the InterContinental because of the indoor pool and tennis nearby. Also, could the 3.5* be the embassy suites? Thoughts?
thereuare Posted July 26, 2012 Report Posted July 26, 2012 Each of the HOTWIRE hotels above shows a 3.5/5.0 TA rating... whereas the two hotels you guessed have a 4.0 TA rating. The rating shown by HOTWIRE is not updated in real time so there is always a chance that the rating has changed since HOTWIRE's last update, but i'm doubtful either is the InterContinental or the Embassy Suites. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. pinto07 Posted July 29, 2012 Author Report Posted July 29, 2012 Bid on a 4* hotel in the downtown area using the PRICELINE link and bid was not accepted from $80-$103. Decided to purchase rooms using HOTWIRE for $103 a night on 4* and got the Sheraton.
pinto07 Posted July 29, 2012 Author Report Posted July 29, 2012 Forgot to mention travel dates are 8/13-8/16.
AaronJB Posted July 29, 2012 Report Posted July 29, 2012 Congrats on your success. Good deal for this Sheraton property, and thank you for letting us know about the new amenity set for this HOTWIRE property so that we can update the site's Hotwire Hotel List.Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
