im looking at main tourist area, and/or close to subway. around $ 125 / 3.5*-4*

is it better to look now or closer to the date.

how should i approach bidding.

We can try whatever you'd like, but at current rates i don't think your $125 budget is going to be enough for a 3.5* or higher at this time... at the moment a 4* is likely $200-$220 and a 3.5* in the $180-$200 area.

Note that when bidding 3.5* and lower:

MTE - some 'known' hotels can be up to a 15 minute walk to the subway... is this acceptable?

CPS - has the Hudson Hotel, which while well located, has notoriously small rooms (~140 sq. ft.).. is this acceptable?

Are either/both of the above acceptable?

Although i think a 3.5* or a 4* will be difficult, did you want to try for a 4* first up to your limit then if rejected try for a 3.5*... OR is your goal the least expensive 3.5* or better for this stay?
