Hotwire Hotel: Need hotel in Boston for 8/16-18

I need a hotel in downtown Boston for 8/16-8/18 for four people. I plan to use hotwire to guarentee 2 beds. Which area would you recommend. We will be doing eith the duck tour or the trolley tour to sightsee. No baseball game that weekend. I was thinking the back bay/copley area or financial district. Which is better for sightseeing? I wanted to find one around 150. The back bay area was listed Friday last week for 151 4 star but today does not show at all.

I was also looking at the Boston common area.

Your more likely than not going to be constrained by your budget. If you search HOTWIRE for 4adults (or for 2adults/2children depending upon the make-up of your group) does anything appear within your desired star rating, zone and budget?

I really wanted a 4 star at either Back bay copley area or Boston common theater district. I have been watching the last week and prices seem to be high. Last week they were much cheaper and I should have booked. Do you think they will come down either tomorrow or Saturday or should I book the 3 star for common theater today? Are those hotels good?

Unfortunately, there's no way to know if rates will come back down - they could cool off, but they could certainly go higher if something is going on for these dates.
