AaronJB Posted July 23, 2012 Report Posted July 23, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding and Happy 21st! :)My guess for the 3.5* would be the Doubletree, while my guess for the 3* would be the Inn of Chicago. There are some slightly better and/or different options when looking at 8/16-18 separately.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
whiggins16 Posted July 29, 2012 Author Report Posted July 29, 2012 Thank you. Sorry for responding so late.Would you be able to help me ID these hotels same dateChicago Loop - Theater District138.00 3 1/2* 90%Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower Magnificent Mile Area - River North 172.00 3 1/2* 90%Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Also are you suggesting that I should look at hotels for 8/16-18 and 8/18-19?
AaronJB Posted July 29, 2012 Report Posted July 29, 2012 My guess for the 3.5* Loop would be the Crowne Plaza Metro (which is at the far West border of the zone) and the 3.5* Mag Mile would be a likely match for the Doubletree. When I look at 8/16-18 only, there are less options than when I last looked, but I do see a 4* in the Loop-Theater District area for $111 (the price you see may vary slightly) w/ Restaurant, Pool, Indoor Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Spa, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in ShowerWhich would likely be the Palmer. When I look at 8/18-19, I see a 4* in the same zone w/Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Accessible bathroom for $134; this may be a new amenity set for the W City Center, or possibly another variation for the Palmer or a new hotel not yet reported. However, that averages to $118 per night, which is cheaper than any 4* option when looking for all the dates together.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

thereuare Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 I would like 2 beds or a bed and a sofa bed for my guest and I. Would you recommend booking as 2 adults and child?Yes... and even 2 children if the price doesn't go up vs. 1 child. Are the properties above from a search of 2adults/0chidlren or 2adults/1child? Do these still appear, and at the same (or within your budget) if searching for 2adults/1or2children?Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. whiggins16 Posted August 3, 2012 Author Report Posted August 3, 2012 The search was for 2 adults/1 childand the hotels do not appear as the same budget when searching for 2adults/2children

whiggins16 Posted August 6, 2012 Author Report Posted August 6, 2012 Although i found a hotel for 8.16-8.17I am still in need of a hotel for 8.17-8.19I did a bid of $90 on Priceline, through the link provided, for the Loop area and was rejected.Any suggestions on how I should be bidding for a 4* hotel that weekend?
AaronJB Posted August 6, 2012 Report Posted August 6, 2012 Please start a new thread for the additional dates and we would be happy to assist. Unfortunately, the 17th-19th is moderately more expensive. Possibly a convention, as the air/water show is taking place during that time, but that (at least traditionally) has seemed to attract a primarily local audience and not caused much hotel traffic.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
