It looks like Hotwire recently changed their Barcelona map areas. Some results recorded here on Better Bidding showed "Marina - Downtown -Las Ramblas" as an area, whereas now I was looking in "Marina-Port Olympic area".

Anyway, here's the low down...

In the Marina - Port Olympic Area there was a 5* listing for $157.

Based on other reports on Better Bidding I felt as though it may be the W which I really wanted. I was planning on staying at the W anyway by booking directly with them at a rate of well over $300/nt. so this represented a great deal if I was correct. The change in the area maps had me a bit worried but I took the plunge and...

It was the W Barcelona Hotel. wee ha!

Dates booked were October 28-Nov1, 2012 so I saved over $600!

Administrator, Please update the hotel list to reflect this new map districting for Barcelona and amenities list for the W. And thanks for maintaining such a useful site!!
