Hotwire Hotel: Id Punta Cana 4.5 all-inclusive???

I am doing research (not ready to book just yet) whether it makes sense to utilize hotwire for travel to Punta Cana.

There is a 4.5 star all-inclusive resort that comes up for $142 for 2 adults, which is a great price. I assume 4.5 stars all-inclusive is the highest all-inclusive resorts available (Apple has 6 stars, but their rating system is different).

Any idea which resort this could be? Generally, do you have reports of any 4.5 star all-inclusive winning bids in Punta Cana ? The fact that this resort is presumably highest rated, and has a casino narrows it down to only a few choices in Punta Cana. But they are usually priced significantly higher. Afraid to take the plunge.

Even if the above is the perfect hotel, it may not be the one offered for the dates you decide upon and/or once you're ready to book... or the price could be substantial different which makes the value proposition (and whether this makes sense or not) very different as well.

I have used hotwire many, many times, and am aware how it works generally. I have used the research on this site many times successfully for other locations as well.

I played around with various dates, and there is always only 1 4.5 stars All-inclusive resort that comes up with the same amenities. The price goes from $142-192 per night, but I suspect it is the same hotel. There are only a few 4.5 stars Punta Cana hotels to begin with.

Still looking for anyone who have booked a hotwire 4.5 star All-Inclusive hotel in the past. Please tell us what you got.

I've read elsewhere that the 4.5* Punta Cana resort was identified as Riu Palace Bavaro. It is surprising since Riu Palace Bavaro tends to be considered a 4 rather than 4.5 stars property by most sites...
