Priceline Hotel: 4 * Chicago Mel Park, Loop, Greater Chicago,Need room for 7/21/12

I have unsuccessfully bid on 4* rooms for all the Downtown areas of Chicago for this upcoming weekend. Gone as high as $150 and even went down to 3 1/2* & 3* trying to widen loop. I was successful last week during weekday and scored a priceline deal at the 4* Hyatt Regency on East Wacker for $97. Now have the 24 hold, any ideas ??

Rates are expensive for these dates... using the BiddingHelper.com and/or MAPS and HOTELS.com, what is the best rate you're able to find at an acceptable hotel for this nite?

There's not much at all available on HOTWIRE and rates are definitely high - I'm guessing you're possibly looking at $195-215 for a 4* in the downtown area (Millennium/Loop/Grant Park + River North-NMA).

Keep in mind with the Greater Chicago zone that hotels in that area can definitely be a ways from downtown and in areas where not much is going on/around. I wouldn't recommend it, especially at high prices where you're going to have to take cabs/public transit to begin to really get anywhere from some of the hotels in that zone.
