derekdu Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 Looking to bid on the Nashtucket Beach resort in Hull, MA for August 11-13. Its a 2.5* star hotel and started bidding at $100 with no luck, any suggestions?
thereuare Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 What is your maximum bid for this stay. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. derekdu Posted July 20, 2012 Author Report Posted July 20, 2012 My max bid is probably in the $180 range but its normal rate is $200 so 180 isn't that great a deal I was hoping to get it for the 140-150 range
thereuare Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 I'm seeing an average rate of $210 for your dates, but it's important to note that the first nite is $240 and the second nite is $180... you may (depending upon how this property loads their rates) may need to win at a bid price that is enough for a $240 rate (rather than a bid price that is enough for a $210 rate)Also, i believe this property may be rated 3* by PRICELINE... not 2.5* (see the property HERE); what information are you basing the 2.5* on?Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. derekdu Posted July 20, 2012 Author Report Posted July 20, 2012 Your right it is a 3* if you say I need to win based on a $240 room what should I start out as a bid?
thereuare Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 I would start at $120/nite and increase every 24 hours by $10.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. (and not the links in any emails PRICELINE may send indicating that you're eligible to bid again)Good luck! Let us know how it goes and keep us update on your progress.
