AaronJB Posted July 16, 2012 Report Posted July 16, 2012 My guess is that this may be a new amenity set for the Coast Plaza.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
B Singh Posted July 17, 2012 Author Report Posted July 17, 2012 Thank you very much!!! And thank you better bidding. Amazing site. Will come back here often. I just booked Sutton Palace for $134/night. Not bad especially with being so close to travel.
B Singh Posted July 17, 2012 Author Report Posted July 17, 2012 Thank you BetterBidding and everyone else who helped ID the hotel. Its at $140 now. From the Amenities, it was going to be either Sutton Palace or Pan Pacific. Was hoping for Pan Pacific but I guess thats too much to ask for that price.
AaronJB Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 Congrats on your success. :)Nice deal and hope the hotel will work out okay for your travel plans. Please confirm the complete list of amenities showing with the listing - this information is available under the trip information in your HOTWIRE account.Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
B Singh Posted August 6, 2012 Author Report Posted August 6, 2012 I know this might not be the right place for posting reviews. But I wanted to give a heads up to anyone who might be lured into this extremely bad deal. I secured 4 nights at Sutton Place Hotel in Vancouver via Hotwire. It was a complete nightmare. The hotel itself is barely a 3* at best and not even good at that. We were 2 adults and a baby. They gave us room with 2 twins (and wanted $50/night for upgrade to a King). I have tons of pictures of our room. Room looked and felt ancient. The paint is chipping off, the marble countertop in the bathroom was cracked (though filled in with caulk but a hack job). Tub looked downright dirty (but we realized its just age). They were not all that nice once they figured we were hotwire bookings. I can go on and share pictures and more if y'all are interested. I plan to take this up with Hotwire though it might be an uphill battle. On the contrary we made 2 bookings in Seattle (Westin and Sheraton). Both were immaculate and great experience.
thereuare Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 Sorry to hear you had a bad experience at this property. If you have a problem with a hotel you should first talk to management to see if you can resolve the issue, and at that time if you're unable to resolve the problem call HOTWIRE while at the hotel... there is a lot more they can do to assist while you're in the middle of your stay then after it's completed.Feel free to add a post to this hotel's listing in our HOTEL REVIEW section of the board.Hope your future trips go more smoothly. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
B Singh Posted August 8, 2012 Author Report Posted August 8, 2012 I went all the way up. Talked to Front Office Manager. But they could care less. It was that bad. I would have called hotwire, but being in Canada I didnt have my cell phone working. I am not giving up though. This is fight worth fighting if it helps others in future.
