spunkyt83 Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 Hi, I'm looking to book 2 rooms for 3 nights (9/7-9/10) for 4 adults + 2 kids. Used the link and came up with the following:5-star Hotel in The Strip - North, $110/night/roomSpa Services Resort Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Kitchenette Free Parking 90% hotwire reviews recommendedThis hotel typically charges all guests a resort fee regardless of how the room is booked. The hotel collects this fee of about US$ 30 per room per night directly from you.Any help in ID-ing these is greatly appreciated! Also, is it normal that I only got 1 5-star and a couple of 4* in the search results? And I didn't see anything that was in the Strip - South. Just wondering if I did something wrong. Thanks guys!
thereuare Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 Welcome to BetterBidding!Best guess for the porperty above would be the Trump.HOTWIRE only returns one hotel at each star level per zone, but the reason i believe a bit more limited on your own search is because you're 1) searching for more than one room (usually not a problem but it seems to be sometimes at the 5* level in Vegas), and 2) you're searching for more than double occupancy in each room (most 5* Vegas hotels have started to charge more for rooms with two beds and therefore once you bump up to triple occupancy you're no longer looking for a 'standard' room... and most hotels only load rates for standard rooms into the system)What is your target budget (per nite before taxes and fees) for this stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. spunkyt83 Posted July 17, 2012 Author Report Posted July 17, 2012 Thanks for the info. Our budget for the stay is around $150/night. I used the link to do a search again for the same dates but for 1 room, double occupancy and found these:5-star Hotel in The Strip - South Area, $137/nightSuiteSmoke Free RoomsFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurants(s)Business CenterHigh-Speed Internet AccessGolf NearbySpa ServicesAccessible for the blindAccessible for the deafFree ParkingFree InternetAccessible path of travelIn-room accessibilityAccessible bathroomRoll-in showerTypical resort fee of $25 per night90% Hotwire reviews recommended4.5-Star Hotel in The Strip - South Area, $141/nightResortCasinoFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-Speed Internet AccessGolf NearbyTennis NearbySpa ServicesFree ParkingAccessible path of travelIn-room accessibilityAccessible bathroomHandicapped parkingRoll-in showerTypical resort fee of $25 per night90% Hotwire reviews recommended4-star Hotel in The Strip - South Area, $94/nightResortCasinoFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterGolf NearbyAccessible for the deafFree ParkingFree InternetAccessible path of travelIn-room accessibilityWheelchair accessibleAccessible bathroomHandicapped parkingRoll-in showerTypical resort fee of $20 per night85% Hotwire reviews recommendedI'd prefer the South Area to the North. Any ideas on these? They all sound pretty good. If we do separate searches (and thus, bookings) for a room for 2, is there a high chance we would get different hotels? However, I think we'd be ok if we did end up getting different hotels as long as we stay in the same area. Thanks!
