Priceline Hotel: Bidding strategy for 4* today in Austin Texas (one night)

Dates today july 14th (one night) leaving on the 15th

HI guys, tomorrow is my daughter's birthday and i will like to surprise her with a staycation in a 4* hotel in Austin. i would really love to get the W, and prefer NOT to have the ATT hotel and conference center. I don't know why it is considered downtown because it is not where we traditionally consider downtown.

Can you suggest a bidding strategy for one night starting tonight? If there isn't a way to eliminate the ATT hotel, i am fine with that too.

You can't bid on, or avoiad, a specific hotel when using PRICELINE, you have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star level (or higher) that you choose. With HOTWIRE you can often take an educated guess as to what is being offered based upon the amenities associated with the property, but it's still a 'best guess' and no guarantees you will receive the hotel you're hoping for.

So we don't suggest a strategy that goes higher than you're willing to pay, what is your maximum bid for a 4* hotel for this nite?
